Award Ceremony
On 9 February 2006 at 16:30 [CET] the Prize-Giving Ceremony took place at headquarters of Assindustria in Bologna [Italy], under the direction of Germano Gotti, Secretary General of Assindustria who welcomed with exquisite kindness.
As a introduction, Brian Ace, President of Cartiera del Maglio promoter of the Prize, thanked people attending the ceremony, press and media, dignitaries and staff.
Then Mr Gotti coordinated the round table ‘The Corporate Social Responsibility at present and for the future’ with really interesting notes by Dayton H. Matlick and Donato del Vecchio.
Before delivering the Prize, the Majoress of the Municipality of Sasso Marconi, Ms Marilena Fabbri and Paolo Culicchi, Vice President of Assocarta, commemorated Giovanni Barezzi with deep-felt words.
Finally Ludovico and Stefania Barezzi, Giovanni’s children, awarded the Canadian Jeff Guiler, as a second winner of the prestigious Prize.
Also present at the event were numerous personalities linked to the world of paper and the production of cigarettes, as well as many journalists and friends of the late Mr Giovanni Barezzi.
