Award Ceremony
The 'Giovanni Barezzi Award' ceremony was held on 24 June 2004 at 11.15 a.m. at the Palazzo delle Industrie Bolognesi.
Speaking at the press conference were Mr Brian Ace - Chairman and Managing Director of Cartiera del Maglio, Mr Romano Volta - Chairman of Assindustria Bologna, Mr Paolo Culicchi - Vice-Chairman of Assocarta, and Professor Paolo Zaninelli - Head of Studies at the Istituto Cartario 'San Zeno'.
The main event at the Award Ceremony was the announcement of the winner, Mr Massimo Biondo, by Ludovico and Stefania Barezzi, Ms Marilena Fabbri - Mayor of Sasso Marconi, and Mr Giuliano Gotti - Secretary General of Assindustria Bologna, coordinated by Professor Marco Fedeli of the University of Genoa and Managing Director of Globiz, the consultancy company which handled the overall design and organisation of the Award.
Also present at the event were numerous personalities linked to the world of paper and the production of cigarettes, as well as many journalists and friends of the late Mr Giovanni Barezzi.
